Logistic difficulties to get there are now away, competition get its rights back and the smile got back to the paddock today. Lots of riders like the track, and overall the organization is same, not to say better than some continental GPs. If the day began under the rain with a cold weather, the climate became more and more clement, even though changing, showers after a few minutes of big sun. If the weather could be with us tomorrow, the technical track of Semigorje would offer beautiful races on TV.

Jordi Tixier made the holeshot in MX2 but the race was stopped after one lap because the grid didn’t work for Butron. The Frenchman had to start the work all over again was quite disappointed about it, but he made it again and remained up front until the end! Other good surprises came from Glenn Coldenhoff and Priit Rätsep (3rd and 4th), as well as Valentin Guillod’s (above) 6th place – he was smart enough to see that an empty grid was left available at the inside, he took it and grabbed a good start. His fellow countrymen Arnaud Tonus wasn’t as lucky, he crashed while in second and Searle collided with him, both couldn’t finish the race.

On it since this morning, Evgeny Bobryshev is completely under pressure, he is confessing since last weekend being struggling to deal with it because of all the requests are big for his home GP. A superstar status which he is not used to. Same thing for Aleksander Tonkov who is a bit stressed to ride in front of all his friends and already had to deal with lots of fans including some drunk ones from the early morning!

Since Saturday morning, hundreds of spectators walked up and down the paddock. Hard to say how many, but it was an encouraging beginning. We still have to see the size of the crowd tomorrow for the races!
