One GP, one story
Winners are not the only ones to deserve to be highlighted. This GP was one of many tales, we chose the one of French youngster Robin Kappel who had a one of a kind adventure this weekend.

Among the four Frenchmen here in Russia in the European EMX250 class, Robin Kappel was for sure the most in « Do it yourself » mode. His team KTM Silver Action having decided not to come to the race, Robin and his two team mates stuck together to race this GP no matter how hard was it. It’s the Moldavian Mihail Cociu who kindly transported the five bikes, his father doing his mechanic.
On their side, Robin and Davide Guarneri were on their own, without any mechanic or anyone else! Robin had the chance that Olivier Robert (French Federation selector) gave him a hand, by sharing his hotel room, helping him to do the mechanic and washing his unique bike, which has not stopped the young frenchie to pitch in.
And when he wasn’t riding, Robin was Davide’s helper, by handling his bike in the waiting zone, and doing the pit-boarding during the races. And once on the road to get to his hotel, Robin decipher Cyrillic to find the good directions and guide his driver, true story, we saw the scene on Friday night!
Have you said big week-end? Of course, but Robin really enjoyed his adventure though, running everywhere in the paddock with a big smile on his face. Icing on the cake: even if he did not finish the second heat, he ended up first French rider of the first race EMX250. Congratulations!
